Commission bids A commission bid is the maximum amount you are willing to bid up to (excluding the buyer’s premium and VAT). The auctioneer will execute your bid as low as possible on your behalf. You can register in person when viewing the lots prior to the auction, via our website or by emailing bid@silverstoneauctions.com . Telephone bidding Telephone bidding will still allow you to bid live. On the day of the sale a member of the Silverstone Auctions team will contact you, usually a few lots prior to your selected lot, and will guide you through the process, relaying the auctioneer’s bids to you and bidding on your instruction. You can also leave a commission bid in the event that we are unable to contact you via telephone. You can register in person when viewing lots prior to the auction, via our website or by emailing bid@silverstoneauctions.com . Online bidding You can bid live online on the day via our website. You will need to register an account on our website silverstoneauctions.com and click on ‘Register to bid live’ to be able to do this. There is no additional fee for online bidding via our website. Silverstone Auctions has also partnered with The Saleroom. Registration for internet bidding with our partner is done on their website. Please go to silverstoneauctions.com/pages/buy for more information and direct links. Please note that online bidding with our partner incurs an additional fee of 1% plus VAT. Documentation You can inspect the vehicle files at our documents desk at the auction. We recommend you inspect the paperwork prior to the auction to satisfy yourself as to the completeness of any history files, spares etc. Sale room notices A sale room notice is issued when a pertinent change in the information provided on an item is made after the catalogue is finalised and published. If a lot has a sale room notice, this will be displayed on the individual lot page on the website, it will be displayed in the auction hall and read out by the Auctioneer prior to the lot being auctioned. Warranties The catalogue will describe the lots to the best of our ability on information supplied. You should, however, satisfy yourself as to the condition, age, and integrity of any lot prior to bidding as no warranties whatsoever are given in relation to any lot. Once the hammer falls a contract is made and you are obligated to proceed with the purchase. It is therefore vital that you are satisfied to the best of your ability with the condition of the lot you intend to bid upon before doing so. Vehicle registration documents Silverstone Auctions will retain the V5C registration document and a member of the administration team will contact you after the auction to confirm the details for registering the vehicle. If we have not heard from you within two weeks of the sale we will register the vehicle to the name and address you provided when registering at the auction. Insurance Please remember, once the hammer falls, the risk of the lot passes to you. You may wish to speak to our insurance partner, Peter James Insurance, who can get great value, comprehensive cover arranged for you instantly by contacting them on +44 (0) 121 506 6040.
