It was at this event that Stirling decided to retire. He carried his helmet, race suit, boots and gloves in this bag. Unused since the bag is in excellent condition and carries Stirling’s holographic official business card in the address holder. Stirling’s Last Ever Racing Suit 2011 Le Mans With Photos This is the actual race suit worn by Sir Stirling at the Le Mans Classic in 2011. It was at this event that Stirling stepped out of his Porsche and announced to radio Le Mans that he was retiring after 62 years of racing. The vendor travelled to Le Mans to be with Stirling and was also his sponsor that weekend. On returning to London, Moss gifted the race suit to Peter Ratcliffe. The image is of Mansell at the wheel of the Ferrari F-641 and was created by Alan Stammers for a limited edition of prints, of which two Mansell-signed copies are supplied as part of this lot. A large stretched canvas stretched over a wooden frame. 688 Estimate: £150 - £250 Framed $10 Dollar Bill Signed by Stirling Moss stating ‘OK YOU WIN’ Whilst holidaying with Stirling in 1995, the vendor invited Stirling and his wife, Susie for dinner. Joe’s Stone Crabs was Stirling’s favourite restaurant in the world. When suggested, Stirling replied ‘You’ll never get a table in under 2 weeks.’ The vendor replied ‘I bet you $10, we’ll get a table in under 45 minutes’.
