212 The Classic Sale at the NEC Classic Motor Show 2026 Cars Lot 325 1979 Volkswagen Beetle 1303 Cabriolet - Final Model •The Volkswagen Beetle needs little introduction, having become one of the worlds most recognisable automotive icons of the 20th century. The late model Beetle Super Cabriolet combines the charm of the original design with the appeal of open-top motoring and, in fuel injected form, represents a desirable final evolution of the classic air-cooled Volkswagen •This 1979 Volkswagen Beetle Super Cabriolet is presented beautifully in Alpine White with a matching interior, a smart period colour scheme. Remarkably original throughout, it retains its original interior, hood and paintwork for the most part. It is in excellent overall condition and presents exactly as a low mileage survivor should •Indicating just over 21,000 miles, this Beetle Super was purchased at Mecum auctions in the United States in 2016 before being shipped to the UK. Since arriving it has seen little use. It is on a NOVA with taxes paid and ready for its first registered keeper in the UK. Our transport partners are on hand to assist with the registration if required •The Classic Beetle is supported by a thriving international enthusiast community, with excellent access to mechanical expertise and parts network. This example has been inspected and prepared for this auction by Irvs VW Restorations who confirm the cars authenticity A fine example from the final year of Beetle production, highly original, beautifully presented and extremely collectible.
