Estimate: £3,000 - £3,500 309 A Very Rare Leaping Frog Mascot by Renevey, France c.1920s Signed, plated bronze in exquisite detail measuring 14cm tall complete with original car mounting bracket and positioning screw. This is the same style of mascot gifted to the, then, Lady Diana Spencer by her sister, Lady Sarah Spencer and was mounted on the bonnet of the 1981 Ford Escort Ghia driven by her; a cheeky nod to the fairy tale about the beautiful girl who kisses a frog which turns into a handsome prince. London A unique, Elizabeth II-hallmarked, special commission, Charles Sykes-signed, inscribed RR. Ltd. 6-2-11 around the base and REG US PAT OFF / TRADE MARK REG on the underside of each ‘wing’, raised on a turned walnut display base, measuring 21.9cm high overall and in absolutely perfect condition.
