287 + buyers premium of 15% plus VAT (18% incl VAT) Lot 576 1976 Ducati 900SS 864cc •Developed from the Paul Smart 750SS race-winning machine •Second-generation, square-case 864cc engine •Registered new in Brescia, Italy in 1977, although it is stated as being manufactured in 1976, this early production 900SS was imported to the UK in 2016 and remained in a prominent motorcycle collection until last year •Having now been re-registered in the UK it has just had a service and check over and is in good running order • It is supplied with an ASI (Automotoclub Storico Italiano) certificate and plaque and Ducati Owners Club certificate stating the bike as matching numbers as well as the original 1977 Italian registration documents and the current UK V5C • Fitted with an oil cooler, the bike appears to have been restored at some point and remains in good general order, although the paint is showing signs or age •Approximately 1,300 bikes were built in 1976 making them highly prized and very collectable, this is good example of an iconic Ducati Highly-desirable, classic bevel-drive 900SS, a real ‘racer for the road’.
