It is understood that a comprehensive restoration was carried out in the early 1990s in the US, including a complete body refurbishment, comprehensive engine and drivetrain rebuild, a complete suspension and steering overhaul and a full retrim, all of which remain in outstanding condition to this very day. It’s accompanied by a comprehensive history file which includes a photographic record of the rebuild amongst other invoices, bills and associated paperwork. In more recent years, the Jaguar has been converted to right-hand drive and maintained as required, regardless of cost, and is ready to be enjoyed by its next custodian. Series 2 cars are recognised as being more usable than the earlier cars, with a better gearbox, cooling and brakes.
