61 + buyers premium of 12.5% plus VAT (15% incl VAT) on the first £300,000 of the hammer and 10% plus VAT (12% incl VAT) thereafter Lot 653 1996 Aston Martin DB7 i6 Registration: N246 BKR Chassis No.: SCFAA1117SK100491 Estimate: £26,000 - £32,000 Introduced to an astonished public in 1993, the handsome new DB7 was Aston Martin’s first six-cylinder model since production of the DBS had finished in 1971. Styled by Ian Callum, its lines were evocative of earlier Aston Martin models and elements of the DB4/5/6 could be seen if you looked carefully. Arguably, one of the most attractive looking cars ever produced by Aston Martin, the ‘7’ was more approachable than the leviathans that had immediately preceded it. Well received, it attracted new customers worldwide, with the traditional layout of the curvaceous two door coupé body, robust six-cylinder engine and a ‘proper’ interior. Power was supplied by an all-alloy, double overhead camshaft, supercharged, 24-valve, in-line six-cylinder engine which produced 335bhp at 5,750rpm. In the same way that the beautiful little Sixties’ Lotus Elan morphed, over the years, into the be-winged Esprit Turbo, the DB7 was the first in the line of modern Astons that have become more dramatic with each new model, however, we feel that the simple purity of line of the DB7 will ultimately define the breed. We are very pleased to be able to offer this lovely DB7 presented in Mendip Blue with a stunning light grey leather interior, that has covered a mere 18,155 miles from new. The current custodian bought the car in March 2020 when he moved to France, however complex French vehicle regulations have meant that it has proved difficult to register over there and consequently he is reluctantly offering the Aston for sale. It will come to our NEC Sale with a fresh MOT and will therefore be immediately ready to use by its next lucky owner. Whilst in his care, the current technical engineer keeper has added some value by way of changing the grille to a super chrome version, stainless steel tail pipes have been added, the front brakes have been upgraded to Brembos and all fluids have been changed including the gearbox oil, engine oil and all relevant filters. The car is supplied with its original book pack and stamped service book and, we understand, is ‘on the button’. This elegant Aston could grace any private collection, would make an excellent weekend cruiser or even, a slightly indulgent daily driver. A stylish example of Aston’s elegant DB7 in a lovely colour combination that has covered just over 18,000 miles. More Details Lot 653 Bid On Lot 653
