26 The NEC Classic Motor Show Sale - Cars Registration: WKG 974K Chassis No.: 1S1008 Estimate: £75,000 - £85,000 Lot 619 1971 Jaguar E-Type Series 3 V12 Roadster Finished in its original colour scheme of Old English White with a black interior and hood, this manual gearbox Series 3 Jaguar E-Type 5.3-litre V12 Roadster rolled off the production line on 1st August 1971 before being delivered to Howells of Cardiff some days later. Fully restored by renowned specialist Mike Mercer of Auto Classico in Bristol, the Jaguar was purchased as a wedding present in 2014 by its present owner before hibernating in long-term storage the year after. Recently seeing the light of day once again after almost 20 years, the car has now been fully recommissioned by ‘Project Heaven’ remaining resplendent in every way, a testament to the specialists that carried out the exacting rebuild all those years ago.
