2 The NEC Classic Motor Show Sale Key Sale Information Please note – admission to the auction stands are by catalogue only. Catalogues will be available to purchase at the catalogue desk for £10, each catalogue admits two. Viewing Viewing is available at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC), Birmingham, B40 1NT as follows: Friday 11th November 10am – 6pm Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th November from 9am – 5pm. Motorcycles will be on display on our stand in Hall 5. Motor Cars and Automobilia will be in Hall 2. Auctions All lots will be auctioned from our stand in Hall 2 as follows: Motor Cars – 10am Saturday 12th November Automobilia – 9.30am Sunday 13th November Motorcycles – 12 noon Sunday 13th November The auctioneer will aim to sell approximately 60-80 lots of automobilia per hour and 25-30 vehicles. Event tickets The auction is part of the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show at the NEC, Birmingham. The UK’s biggest and best motor show attracting visitors. Admission to the Show is not included in the price of the catalogue. Tickets can be purchased via the Classic Motor Show website. The NEC have kindly given a discount code for our clients to use: www.necclassicmotorshow.com/silverstone-auc Code: SILVERSTONEAUC Buyer’s premium Like the majority of auctioneers, Silverstone Auctions charge a buyer’s premium. Our buyer’s premium charge for motor vehicles is 12.5% + VAT (15% including VAT) on the first £300,000 of the hammer price and 10% + VAT (12% including VAT) on the balance thereafter. Automobilia is 20% + VAT (24% including VAT) and number plates are 10% + VAT (12% including VAT). VAT Some lots may be subject to VAT on the hammer and buyer’s premium and some may be subject to import VAT on the hammer only. These lots will be clearly marked in the catalogue. All other lots will be sold using the Auctioneers Margin Scheme (VAT Notice 718/2). VAT will not be charged on the hammer price. The VAT on the buyer’s premium will not be split out on the invoice and cannot be reclaimed by UK VAT-registered businesses or individuals. Further duties and VAT may be applicable on exporting lots from the UK. It is the responsibility of the buyer to settle these charges. Payments All payments are due by 5pm on Monday 14th November. Payment should be made by bank transfer where possible. Please note our bank account details: sort code 20-98-87, account number 30223379. Card payments can be made (in person only) as follows: debit card payments up to £20,000 and credit card up to £5,000. Cash payments are not permitted. Collection Please note that due to venue restrictions, no vehicles can be moved until 9am on Monday 14th and we need to be clear of the venue by 2pm. Full payment must be received before any item is available to be released. Motor Cars Cars can be collected from the NEC on Monday 14th November between 9am and 2pm. Any cars not collected by 2pm on Monday 14th November will be taken to EM Rogers storage facility in Northampton for a fee of £175 + VAT. Storage will be charged at £10 + VAT per day from the Monday onwards. A member of the administration team will call to confirm your transport plans after the auction. If we do not hear back from you by 5pm on Sunday 13th November, we will arrange for our transport partners to collect the vehicle on your behalf. Motorcycles Motorcycles can be collected from the NEC on Monday 14th November between 9am and 2pm. Our motorcycle transport partners, Moving Motorcycles, can assist with collection and delivery. Any motorcycles not collected by 2pm on Monday 14th November will be taken to our transport partners facility in Northamptonshire for a fee of £120 + VAT, including 3 days storage. Storage will be charged at £10 + VAT per day thereafter. A member of the administration team will call to confirm your transport plans after the auction. If we do not hear back from you by 9am on Monday 14th November, we will arrange for our transport partners to collect the vehicle on your behalf. Automobilia Automobilia can be collected from the auction stand on the Sunday or on Monday morning between 9am and 12pm by prior arrangement. After this time, it can be collected from our offices in Warwickshire (up to 4 weeks post-sale) or shipped to you at your expense.
