162 The NEC Classic Motor Show Sale - Cars Registration: MMU 884L Chassis No.: 1S51367 Estimate: Offered Without Reserve Lot 728 1973 Jaguar E-Type Series 3 V12 2+2 Coupé When searching for the ideal restoration project, most of our clients start with a wish list that would usually include certain models. They may hope that the object of their affection has only had a few owners, or comes from period of long-term ownership, all factors in minimalising the risk. Consequently, a UK-supplied, right-hand drive coupé Series 3 V12 E-Type in Signal Red with black leather, from very long-term ownership and in genuine barn find condition would appear to be a dream come true. When that ownership extends to almost 50 years, and the owner is likely only the second keeper ever, this becomes a very rare opportunity. The Jaguar was first registered in 1973, acquired by our vendors in 1975, and subsequently enjoyed for a number of years before being parked up in a garage some years ago when it required some repairs.
