146 The NEC Classic Motor Show Sale - Cars Registration: BG17 TTO Chassis No.: WF05XXGCC5HM76794 Estimate: £38,000 - £44,000 Lot 718 2017 Ford Focus RS Mk3 - 901 miles The third, and fastest, evolution of the iconic Focus RS Mk1, the RS Mk3 was for sale from 2016 to 2018, and while that wasn’t very long, it managed to establish itself at the top of the high-performance hot- hatch tree. The fastest Ford Focus Mk3 is great to drive and was priced at a level that puts it among some of the most exciting and affordable cars on the road of any type. It’s agile and sporty in all the right places and offers impressive acceleration, whilst the turbocharged engine delivers a suitably sporty soundtrack. It was a rival for cars like the Volkswagen Golf R and Mercedes-AMG A45, and thanks to its 345bhp, 2.3-litre turbocharged, four-cylinder power unit, it had the firepower to take on these rivals. But there’s more to the Focus RS than just a powerful engine. It uses a six-speed manual gearbox mated to an intelligent four-wheel drive system with state of the art electronics that include Drift Mode among many upgrades not offered on the earlier versions of the RS. The example on offer here was ordered new through Evans Halshaw Birmingham in April 2017 and is showing only 901 miles from new. It is a UK-supplied right-hand drive example and is showing two former keepers. The options specified when new include Nitrous Blue, 19“ Black forged alloy wheels, painted brake callipers, power tilt /slide roof and the RS Lux pack. The accessories included a five year extended warranty and Ford Sync sat nav. The car presents as you would expect a five year old that’s covered only a few miles. In conclusion, we rarely see such eminently drivable performance cars of this age with virtually delivery mileage covered.
