24 The London Motorcycle Show Sale 2023 Lot 134 1979 Laverda 500 SCF Barcelona Replica 500cc Roger Quemby built Laverda 500 SCF Barcelona Endurance Replica. • The 1980s were the heyday for motorcycle endurance racing with big events such as Le Mans and Bol d’Or. Most manufacturers created endurance machines to compete but none looked as good or went as well as the machines built in-period by Laverda • This fabulous ‘scratch built’ 500 SCF Barcelona Endurance Replica is presented in almost “as new” condition and finished to a very high standard • The donor frame was stripped, refinished and then rebuilt by Alumacraft in Walsall • Bespoke Maxton rear shocks, resprung original front forks and rebuilt Brembo calipers • Front SCF fairing by Serbian Laverda specialist Boba Vukomanovic and rear fibreglass seat panel by Melton Fibreglass.
