252 The Classic Sale at the NEC Classic Motor Show 2025 Cars Lot 701 1965 Morris Minor 1000 Deluxe Tourer (Series 5) •This classic Minor soft top dates from January 1965 and is correctly known as a Late 1000 Series 5 •Finished in Old English White, with a retrimmed interior in Tartan Red complemented by a Maroon soft top •Powered by a 1,098cc A-Series four-cylinder offering 48bhp and 60lb/ft of torque mated to an aluminium alloy 4-speed gearbox •Purchased by our vendor around five years ago and subject to substantial works including replacement of all four floor panels as well other key body components •Further work carried out in May 2021 include a replacement fuel tank, a brake master cylinder and some hoses, pipes and suspension bump stops •Our vendor has confirmed that the Morris has been mostly garaged during his ownership •A well cared for and charming example of the ever-popular Minor Tourer A fine example of a Late 1000 Series 5 Deluxe in Old English White, beautifully retrimmed in Tartan Red with a very smart Maroon hood.
