This first model was powered by a twin-turbocharged, 2.7-litre, 30-valve V6, developed in collaboration with Cosworth, which produced a substantial 375bhp coupled to a 6-speed manual gearbox and permanent Quattro four-wheel drive, offering impressive traction and performance. The B5 lasted in production until 2001 with only approximately 400 built in right-hand drive, and there would be no RS 4 in the succeeding B6 range. This original UK-supplied example was first registered on 9th February 2001 and is finished in Santorini Blue, a rare hue with only three believed to have been ordered in this colour for the UK-market. With the only known upgrade being to the front brakes which are now fitted with 8-pot RS 6/R8 callipers with discs and pads, a known modification which offers a significant improvement in retardation.
