165 + buyer’s premium of 12.5% plus VAT (15% incl VAT) Lot 739 1970 Lotus Elan Series 4 SE Coupé •The Lotus Elan Series 4 was produced during the late 1960s and early 1970s and is widely regarded as one of the most engaging lightweight British sports cars of its era, combining advanced chassis design with compact dimensions and agile handling •This 1970 example is finished in red with a black interior and has been stored for many years, presenting today as a genuine barn find that will require full recommissioning •Like other Elan S4 models, it is powered by Lotus’ twin cam four- cylinder engine driving the rear wheels through a manual gearbox, a combination well known for delivering lively performance and excellent balance. The body appears solid, with little corrosion noted, and the interior in excellent original order.
