It is understood that less than 220 (all phases) survive in the UK today •Powered by the enlarged 2.0-litre 16-valve ‘F7R’ engine producing circa 150bhp, paired with a close-ratio 5-speed manual gearbox, delivering sharp performance and engaging handling •Instantly recognisable thanks to its Sports Blue paintwork, gold Speedline alloy wheels and subtle Williams badging, a combination that has become iconic among hot hatch enthusiasts •Formed part of a carefully curated private Collection of performance hatchbacks and stored in a modern, temperature-controlled facility •Accompanied by a substantial history file including its original book pack, period dealership brochure, numerous invoices for servicing and maintenance, and a spare immobiliser fob •Little used in recent years, with the last MOT expiring in May 2017 at 134,658 miles however, at the time of cataloguing, the Clio started readily and manoeuvred well with no obvious mechanical issues •Increasingly sought-after as a modern classic, Phase 1 examples are now firmly on collectors’ radars #0168/390 of the first batch of Clio Williams homologation specials, an increasingly collectable and unmodified example offered with a comprehensive history file and a sensible estimate. The exhaust and manifolds are good and we understand that the chassis is in excellent condition •It is fitted with a Thatcham-approved Cobra immobiliser •At the time of cataloguing, the TVR started easily, sounded very healthy and manoeuvred well on the photoshoot and, for full bidder confidence, it will be presented to auction with a fresh MOT •Described by our vendor as ‘unbelievably reliable’ this is a good opportunity to secure a modern classic British sports car with relatively basic mechanicals that would be well received at any motor show Very well presented, third-generation S Series with 2.9-litre V6 motivation, offered directly from a carefully curated collection of landmark classic cars.
