Prior to AMG’s full integration with Mercedes-Benz, such cars were individually specified and modified, resulting in a wide variety of highly distinctive and now increasingly collectible examples. This W126 560 SEC was built in early January 1989, supplied new to Hong Kong on 25th January and first registered there on 14th February 1989. It is finished in Blue-Black Metallic (199U) over a classic black leather interior and is described as a fully dechromed example, a style often associated with AMG’s more purposeful aesthetic of the period. It was optioned from new with a Becker radio cassette, automatic climate control, tropical battery, factory fire extinguisher and notably a limited-slip differential. The car is also fitted with a full ‘Wide-Body’ kit which we understand to be supplied by AMG but cannot confirm, so interested parties will need to form their own opinion.
