318 The Classic Sale at Silverstone Festival 2025 Cars Lot 773 1968 Ford Mustang 289 Hardtop Coupe •Built in Metuchen, New Jersey in 1968, this is a C-Code Hardtop Coupe that was optioned from new with the 210bhp, 2-valve, 289ci V8 mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission •The car was restored in the US in c.2010 and imported to the UK by its previous owner who sold it to our vendor around eight years ago •He had the car refreshed by his in-house mechanic who carried out a colour change to Highland Green ( Bullitt ) •It retains its original two-tone green interior, 289 engine and automatic transmission and in 2022 had a new fuel tank fitted and some wiring issues attended to •Well maintained by our vendor and in a topical colour, this classic Notchback is a good usable example of Ford’s legendary 1968 Mustang A fine example of America’s most recognisable muscle car, in a topical colour and powered by the ubiquitous 289 ‘small block’ V8.
