313 + buyer’s premium of 12.5% plus VAT (15% incl VAT) Lot 763 1952 Morgan Plus 4 ‘Flat Rad’ Drophead Coupé •This lovely example is a Drophead Coupé, a rare car. The Plus 4 remained in production from 1950-1968, with only 450 finished in this body shape. Very few examples of the ‘Flat Rad’ DHC were built •An older restoration, the quality of which is evident in our images, it has recently benefited from a full service and brake overhaul •Delightfully presented in an attractive shade of deep red with matching wheels, good chrome and a very smart black hood •Classic interior in its original, gently patinated, red leather with an oak dashboard, cream-faced instruments, Bakelite knobs and switches, a Bluemells sprung wheel, newish red carpets and black door cards •Supplied with a large history folder containing numerous bills and receipts dating from 1980s to present day for parts purchased and works carried out. The indicated mileage of 37,488 may well be accurate •Patently cherished, this a wonderful example of a rare version of the Plus 4 and everything you might hope to find in a Classic Morgan A beautifully presented and essentially original 1952 Plus 4 Drophead Coupé. An older restoration in excellent order. Seller Rating: ««««¶ Score 102 / 135 Registration: WXS 511 Chassis No.: P2358 Estimate: £18,000 - £22,000 Specialist: Tom Womersley Telephone No: 07756 810183 Lot 764 1964 MG B Roadster •Known by it’s internal codename of MG EX205, the MG B began production in 1962 and in one form or another was around until 1995 •Powered by the 1,798cc B-series four-cylinder producing 95bhp and 110lb/ft of torque when new resulting in a respectable 108mph •This example is classically presented in British Racing Green with a black, piped in white, leather interior and silver wire wheels •From 27 years long-term ownership, however, the sale is being dealt with by the owner’s family who have confirmed that the MG hasn’t been used for 15 years •The odometer displays just 8,100 although we would imagine this was as a result of a speedo change or restoration perhaps •The general condition of the car suggests it’s an older restoration with only a few thousand miles since. There is no relevant paperwork •An element of recommissioning is to be expected although this desirable pull-handle MG B is an excellent foundation for those wanting to return a classic back to the road An early pull-handle B that appears to be an older restoration, now emerging from long-term storage and offered without reserve.
