Weighing in at around 600kg and powered by a Coventry-Climax engine, the Elite punched well above its weight in period, particularly in GT racing where it scored multiple class wins at Le Mans and Nürburgring. The car offered here is a rare and genuine Super 95, built in 1961 and retaining its original chassis (EB-1947) and correct Coventry Climax FWE 1,216cc engine. Supplied originally by Western Motors of Edinburgh and long associated with historic competition, this particular Elite was sold by us ten years ago and has remained in expert hands since, as it was campaigned across the UK and Europe. It has now returned to market as one of the most race-ready and correctly presented examples currently available. This car is offered with a valid FIA Historic Technical Passport (Form GB10101) confirming compliance in Period E: 1947–1961, FIA Class: GTS4 and registered as a Competition GT Car.
