The Iconic & Classic Sales at Silverstone Festival 22nd-24th August 2025

227 + buyer’s premium of 12.5% plus VAT (15% incl VAT) The Ferrari F355 is widely regarded as a modern classic - so beautiful, so well engineered and so well received that it marked the beginning of the end for the old- guard Ferraristi philosophy, which held that only Ferraris with 12-cylinder engines were ‘real’ Ferraris. The F355 Berlinetta and Targa GTS debuted on the world stage in the spring of 1994. Although it shared nearly identical dimensions with its predecessor, the 348, the F355 was effectively a brand new car, as its stunning coachwork suggested. Many hours of wind tunnel testing shaped its harmonious design, which featured an F1-style flat underbody and airflow channels that generated enough downforce to counteract lift. Its longitudinally mounted 3,496cc V8 produced an exhilarating 380bhp at a spine-tingling 8,250rpm. The gearbox now featured six speeds, with a new type of synchromesh that made shifting significantly easier. Electronically adjustable shock absorbers could vary their stiffness within milliseconds to suit changing road surfaces. On Ferrari’s 1.86 mile Fiorano test track, the F355 was two seconds per lap faster than the 12-cylinder 512 TR, a testament to its remarkable performance. Combined with its sensational design, this made the F355 a global success. Offered here is a rare and highly desirable UK-supplied, right-hand drive F355 GTS, equipped with a manual gearbox and fresh to market. At the time of cataloguing, the car had covered only 28,800 miles and the V5C shows just three former keepers. Classically presented in Rosso Corsa with a Crema leather interior and red carpets, this example ticks all the boxes for those seeking what is perhaps the ultimate version of the F355. First registered on 1st January 1997, this GTS boasts an impressive service history, which we recommend all interested parties review at the Silverstone Festival Sale. The car has clearly received a great deal of care and attention over the years. The current MOT is valid until 29th December 2025 and the car was most recently serviced in December 2024 by main agent Maranello Egham. This is a rare and highly desirable car that will meet all of the requirements of an astute Ferrari collector. We welcome and encourage your inspection at the Silverstone Festival auction. Clearly the recipient of a great deal of care and attention over the years, this low-mileage, manual gearbox GTS is fresh to market.
