A genuinely collectible modern classic, it is powered by a 420bhp, 4.2-litre AJ34S supercharged V8 engine, driven through the rear wheels via a 6-speed ZF automatic transmission with paddle-shift gear selectors. Registered as 90 XKR on 1st September 2008 to the first of just three keepers, the car changed hands in 2008 and again in 2021, when it was sold by Jaguar Land Rover Classic Works, a sales department set up to offer the very best examples of their ‘Heritage’ models. According to the accompanying Jaguar Classic service and maintenance booklet, the car was sold with 92 miles in a condition noted ‘as brand new’ on 30th September 2021, where it joined some other special Jaguars. It’s presented to auction with just 237 miles at time of cataloging and in the condition one would expect of such a rare specimen, the book pack also includes the service portfolio booklet and driver’s handbooks.
