27 + buyer’s premium of 12.5% plus VAT (15% incl VAT) • The new Series 1 XJ6-based Daimler Sovereign was introduced in October 1969, virtually identical to the Jaguar with the exception of its fluted grille and Daimler badging • This lovely Series 1 is finished in the rather conservatively named Jaguar Pale Blue and is fitted with a 2.8-litre, straight-six XK engine with a 4-speed manual gearbox with overdrive • The gently patinated dark blue leather interior feels intimate yet enormously stylish, dashboard veneers and door cards etc. are in great condition suggesting caring ownership for many years •Supplied with its original handbook, diagrams and many MOTs dating back to 1984 •Having covered very little mileage in the last decade, corroborated by its MOT history, this example was acquired by our vendor around four years ago though unfortunately he is now losing his storage and so the car has to go A fine example of a rare early Daimler Sovereign Series 1 with a manual gearbox and a wonderful history file.
