101 + buyer’s premium of 12.5% plus VAT (15% incl VAT) •One of only 430 Khamsins produced between 1974 and 1982, Maserati’s flagship grand tourer was styled by Marcello Gandini at Bertone and combined dramatic Italian design with a 4.9-litre quad-cam V8 and sophisticated Citroën-derived hydraulics • This rare right-hand drive example, chassis AM 120 0313, was purchased at auction by our vendor last year, having previously formed part of a Collection since its acquisition at a UK auction in 1999 •Recent work has included replacement of the head gaskets and skimming of the cylinder heads, and importantly the Maserati is now running. It had previously benefited from further recommissioning including attention to the carburettors, fuel system and cooling system, together with fresh engine oil, filter and a replacement battery • Further recommissioning will be required before returning the car to regular road use. In particular, the footbrake is currently inoperative, although the handbrake is functioning, and interested parties are encouraged to inspect the car carefully prior to bidding • The history file includes details and photographs of maintenance carried out in 2015, assorted parts invoices, its 1999 auction purchase invoice and a copy of an old, now-expired UK V5C showing the registration number 3200 KR.
