Auction The automobilia auctions will commence at 10.30 and the vehicle auctions will commence at 2pm on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th March. Please note, entry to the RAF Museum is free of charge. Entry to the sale is on presentation of this catalogue. Travel The postcode NW9 5QW will direct you to a small industrial estate located next to the museum. Please note parking charges apply. The venue is also easily accessible by public transport - Colindale Underground on the Edgware branch of the Northern Line and bus route 303. Buyers Premium Like the majority of auctioneers, Silverstone Auctions charge a buyer’s premium. Our buyers premium charge for motor vehicles is 12.5% +VAT (15% including VAT) on the first £300,000 of the hammer price and 10% +VAT (12% including VAT) on the balance thereafter. Automobilia is 20% + VAT (24% including VAT) and number plates are 10% + VAT (12% including VAT). VAT Some lots may be subject to VAT on the hammer and buyers premium and some may be subject to import VAT on the hammer only. These lots will be clearly marked in the catalogue. All other lots will be sold using the Auctioneers Margin Scheme (VAT Notice 718/2). VAT will not be charged on the hammer price. The VAT on the buyers premium will not be split out on the invoice and cannot be reclaimed by UK VAT registered businesses or individuals. Further duties and VAT may be applicable on exporting lots from the UK. It is the responsibility of the buyer to settle these charges. Online Bidding Please note that online bidding with The Saleroom incurs an additional surcharge of 1% plus VAT of the hammer price. Bidding via Silverstone Live is free of charge. Payments All payments are due by 5pm on Monday 7th March. Please note we need to clear of the venue by 2pm on the Monday therefore any vehicles not paid for by this time will be taken to our storage partners facility in Northampton. Payment should be made by bank transfer where possible. Please note our new bank account details: sort code 20-98-87, account number 30223379. Card payments can be made (in person only) as follows: debit card payments up to £20,000 and credit card up to £5,000. Cash payments are not permitted. Collection Vehicles can be collected from the RAF Museum on Monday 7th March between 9am and 2pm. Our transport partners, EM Rogers, can assist with collection and delivery. Any cars not collected by 2pm on Monday 7th March will be taken to EM Rogers storage facility in Northampton for a fee of £175 plus VAT. Storage will be charged at £10 plus VAT per day from Monday 7th onwards. Automobilia can be collected from The RAF Museum over the weekend or Monday morning between 9am and midday by prior appointment.
