10 The Devitt MCN Festival of Motorcycling Sale 2023 Lot 309 c.1973 Hagon ‘Speedway Springer’ Jawa Grass Track Bike 500cc • Part of the late Dennis Bagshaw Collection • East London-based, Alf Hagon produced some of the most successful track racers to date • He developed the “Speedway Springer” in 1970 using a swing-arm frame and Girling shocks • This example is fitted with a Jawa DT500 twin-cam engine complete with Mk2 concentric carburettor with a Gafco float-bowl • Appears to be mostly original and unrestored • Not used for some time so will require recommissioning before use • Offered at No Reserve Rare Hagon ‘Speedway Springer’ Jawa Grass Track bike.
