Ferrari and Porsche Sale 2019 110 2.30pm The Porsche Sale Lot 432 Registration: CU08 RVC Chassis Number: WP0ZZZ99Z8S794238 Engine Number: M9770S62820708 Estimate: £135,000 - £155,000 Offered without reserve by a private collector • Very rare RHD 997 GT2 Club Sport (Manual) in Ruby Red Metallic with 19” GT3 alloys • Originally supplied by Porsche Malaysia and UK- registered in February 2019 • Serious numbers; 3.6-litre, 523bhp, 0-62mph-3.7 seconds, 210 miles per hour • 6-speed manual transmission, Carbon-ceramic brakes, PASM, PSM • Nomex Club Sport Trim, 6-point drivers harness, carbon folding bucket seats, air-con, multi-function wheel • Original panels, original paint, 9,555 miles from new, documented service history The prospect of combining the most powerful turbo engine in their range at the time, with a manual gearbox and mounting them in a rear-wheel drive, lightweight 911 was the inspiration for the, rather special, Porsche 911 GT2. At the same time, Porsche upgrade and modify the suspension and brakes, increase the engine output whilst lightening and removing interior components to create the ultimate driver’s version of that particular model. This recipe has been used with the 993, 996 and 997 versions of their iconic 911 model. This car is the GT2 version of the 911 (997), introduced in 2008 and produced until 2012. The engine uses twin, variable-geometry, water-cooled turbochargers producing a thumping 523bhp and 500 lbs foot of torque, leading to a maximum speed in excess of 210mph and a 0-60mph time of just 3.6 seconds! Essentially it’s a 997 Turbo with more power fed through the rear wheels only, a track orientated suspension and brake set up, and a GT3 interior. To be taken seriously. Additionally, for those customers who wanted to go a little further, a Club Sport Package (M003) was a no-cost option and offered fire-retardant cloth-lined Recaros, six- point race harnesses, a bolt-in rear roll cage (front section supplied separately), fire extinguisher and a battery cut-off switch. The combination of the M003 Club Sport Package and striking Ruby Red Metallic paintwork makes this GT2 somewhat of a rarity and most definitely a head-turner. It is a 2008 car originally supplied by Porsche in Malaysia and first registered in the UK during February 2015. Fitted, as standard, with a six-speed manual transmission and having only covered 9,555 miles, the car is in wonderful condition with a well-documented service history. Serious Porsches of this nature tend to be very carefully specified and this one is no exception with the emphasis on performance rather than creature comforts. The interior is finished in ‘Nomex Club Sport Trim’ with carbon folding bucket seats, 6-point drivers harness, Alcantara roof lining, multi-function steering wheel, air-con, PCM 3 basic radio and Sports Chrono Package Plus. It’s fitted with PCCB Carbon- ceramic brakes, PSM stability management, PASM electronic damper control, Xenon lighting, and the car sits beautifully on 19” GT3 colour coded alloys. The PCCB discs have recently been refurbished with four new Michelin Sport Cup tyres fitted at the same time and there is an invoice on file from JZM for £7,115 for this attention. With buyers of the following model, the 991 GT2 RS tending to favour the PDK transmission, this means that this right- hand drive 997 GT2 with a manual gearbox is now the end of an era and this aspect alone will render it all the more desirable. This particular example is supplied in wonderful condition both cosmetically and mechanically and would make the perfect addition to any wider collection of serious performance Porsches. 2008 Porsche 911 (997) GT2 Clubsport More Images Lot 432 Bid On Lot 432
